The Character Profile

General Information

Name: Ika Mazi
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Personality: Ika is a weird fit to be a pirate. He isn't necessarily altruistic, but he has set ideals that he believes in and he puts those above any other form of personal pursuit. If Ika can provide freedom to an island, he will choose to do that at the expense of wealth and glory every single time. He looks for people with a similar vision and passion, and hopes to leave his mark on the world in ways that pirates have failed to do prior to his time. His beliefs towards being a pirate are a bit more complicated than most, and he actually believes the One Piece to be something abstract as opposed to physical. His firm belief is that his obligation is to the world around him, and the people who lack the freedom he was given in his pre-teen years.

As far as a person goes Ika is a bit of a hot-head. He's headstrong to a fault, more than willing to put his life on the line in an instant if it means accomplishing one of his goals. The key to Ika's early success thus far has been motivation, and a unique and unsustainable willingness to throw himself into peril at the drop of a dime working with nothing but sheer will-power and determination. Unlike many in his position, Ika does not look up to his brother Sano but instead resents him for his power and his unwillingness to use it for the greater good. He believes that it is his destiny to take him out some day, but is unfortunately not even close to being powerful enough to make that happen now. If you are in Ika's crew, you are by default his family and your goals become his own.

Past Profile

History: Ika is an oddity in the Pirate world. With his brother being a yonko, many thought he'd follow his lead on the path towards success but that has almost never been Ika's style. In many ways Ika resents his brother and his approach, he yearns to one day compete with him in terms of power, and feels that in many ways his brother has wasted a gift he didn't necessarily deserve. From a young age, Ika was destined to become a pirate who pillaged for wealth and glory but that lifestyle never appealed to him in the way many thought it should. Ika's inspiration came from the pursuits of pirates who sought to protect the land he called home, who made it a port city in the middle of his life and opened it up to newfound prosperity.

Sure, Sano may have laid the groundwork for those crews by brutally murdering the incumbant evil boy crews and marking his territory in blood, but the approach of providing a measure of freedom and prosperity to civilians was something Ika found.. admirable. Given his mother was killed by pirates, and his father was executed by the Navy Ika never really fit the parameters of being a solid fit for either lifestyle. He would never be able to conform to the rigidity and fake altruism of the Navy, and he couldn't commit to the selfish glory-hound lifestyle of a pirate and that lead him to an obvious choice.

He would revolutionize the world around him, and mold it to his ideals.
