Meeting of Sand and Stone

The sun was high and a current Kazekage stood outside Iwakagure's gates watching them with her grayish-green eyes in thought. Three figures suddenly formed next to her in forms of small dust devils. Three of just many ANBU, she had brought to this village.

"Everything has been set up and paths charted and watched, Are you sure you wish to do this Lady Kazekage?" asked one of the ANBU kneeling at her feet, waiting for her to speak.

"As much as Kaishi wishes for this alliance to work, we still need secondary allies, If Iwakagure wasn't to side with him, then maybe through me, they will work alongside us towards this wanting of peace."She spoke behind the vile covering her face from the nose down. She sighed, walking forward through the gates to the Tsuchikage's Office; the ANBU once again covered by small dust devils vanishing after her. While Anna wasn't bugged by anyone she did seem to literally stop traffic casually walking through the village, getting stares along with hearing whispers from the citizens watching her pass by; escorted by two of her Jounin she asked to join her in this. She allowed the Kage's assistant to meet her at the front entrance of the office leading her to the selected conference room for discussions.

Anna nodded thanking the assistant before taking a seat, dismissing the two Jounin. This was grown-up talk, they didn't need more ears then what was probably in the room. Anna removed her hat and veil with delight, glad to get those off to let her snow white hair breath from being hidden underneath them on the trip there.

The Kazekage securing a seating with Iwagakures' leader, that alone was considerably an historic accomplishment. For generations, Iwagakure has isolated themselves from the remaining four great nations; cutting off all contact, refusing any political association. The extraordinary meeting was aimed to end the enmity between their neighboring countries, or come to some sort of bilateral agreement ultimately aimed towards peace. Undeniably the highlight of Tomoe's afternoon. While against associating with fascists, imperialists, and dictators, Tomoe's stand could be swayed by favorable conditions. The Kazekage's rhetoric would have to be fortified, this meeting was no easy one due to distrust. Tomoe, nevertheless, had an assortment of beverages prepared in the case of this meeting being a lengthy one. 


Upon the Kazekage taking a seat, Tomoe's lips would not coil with disdain, but a smile. "Welcome, Lady Kazekage." While her green hues could undoubtedly pierce a soul, they were instead gentle. There wasn't exactly reverence for her guest either. "Hopefully your journey was smooth." Genuinely she wished no harm on the young-woman, and her accent was laced with a certain softness. "Would you like some tea?" Such a meeting  always sailed smoother with exquisite beverages, and like mindedness as well. 


"I'll be the first to say that,  I hope we can come to an agreement." If the two nations could settle on a pact, their accord could set them in a desirable direction. One could only hope. She'd nod slightly, her raven locks bounced, before returning to a static state. Ever so slightly moving with a breeze from her office window. 

"Lady Tsuchikage, It is a privilege and honor to be in your grace, you are as beautiful and graceful as all rumors have spoken to me. The journey was smooth and not a hassle what so ever, I would gladly do it again several times over."She spoke sweetly allowing her soft smile to paint itself on her lips. "Yes, I would love some tea."She replied nodding in agreement.

"I hope we come to an agreement, so I may bring some hope and pride to my village on to my future shinobi of the miraculous world that is your village and the amazing genin I have been told reside here. Not only that but it would be great to do something The Hokage and Mizukage or even the Raikage could not manage to do."She added watching the tsuchikage. "First let me say, your village is so unique and beautiful, I feel at home here."She said.

The meeting of Sand and Stone; their meeting had only just begun and yet a sour taste lingered on the buds of her oral muscle. The Kazekage commenced their seating with blandishment, however Tomoe would never fall for it. She spoke to a woman seasoned with age, and thus wise. She'd refuse to play along. Tomoe, in response to her flattery-like tactics, simply nodded. She coiled her digits around the pot of freshly brewed tea. The aroma clogging the space, and poured it for the Kazekage. "So, Kazekage, I hear the Hokage is attempting to form an alliance like no other." She raised a single brow. The topic of discussion was surely the main focus of their meeting, and she had very little interest in allying with him. Though, she was at the very least curious of how it went so far. 


"And who does this alliance consist of?" She asked politely, locking eyes with the Kazekage.

"As far as I have been informed, It is just Kaishi and I, for now, there will be an announcement when the time comes, but when that is, I am not sure. Kaishi believes he is best fit to lead, so I will allow him to do so for the time being. I do not know if he spoke with the other kages or his plans for if they join or if they do not."She said, shrugging, resting her hands in her lap, watching the Tsuchikage. Now Ann may not be telling all, but that is the game in this life, see if you can get more information out of your opponent before they of you. Anna always enjoyed this game. Her pastel green eyes kept locked on the kage before her. Anna's eyes spoke nothing but the truth of what she said, or at least what they portrayed as accurate anyways.

"On the same note Lady Tsuchikage, if I may ask, why have you wished to keep your village isolated up till now only to wish to accept my request for a meeting? I am sure other Kages of the various villages have asked the same?"She asked, keeping her eyes locked on the older woman, she was determined to find some tell of sorts to try and understand a lie or a truth. Everyone had one. What was Tomoe's?
