Landlords and power whores (CLOSED)
Landlords and power whores, this was a brief synopsis on Ika's thoughts towards the Kage's. Nonetheless he knew that they were the arbiters of power within the world he was currently residing in, and as such he knew that making friends with a couple of these people was in his best interest. Sure, long-term he wasn't convinced he'd want to remain friends with everyone he aligned with in his pursuits, but for now? For now the Tsuchikage was his best bet. She was a fairly new appointee and the way their policy worked was unique. They needed aid, military might namely especially when considering how the modern world was shaking out. She would make an excellent ally if everything went according to plan, and that was why he was here.
The chasms and rock-faces that made up Iwagakure felt artificial in nature but they weren't. Miraculously, they were far from it. They had been shaped by years of erosion and natural formation, everything about the village seemed to perfectly fit it's inhabitants. Entering the village on it's own had a sort of finality to it, and he couldn't even begin to imagine what leaving must feel like. Iwagakure was a long way from Kansas or any other notable geographic location, but Ika was one of the few men who could make the trek on his own without any real fear of disturbance. Sure, one rogue group of bandits had tried to rob him on the way, but given their status as impaled decorations lining the road to Iwa, well..
Needless to say not many were going to be eager to make a move like that again. Ika wrapped his fist across the Tsuchikage's door, knocking 3 times whilst awaiting a response. He had bypassed the receptionist and security using Body Flicker, and now he waited for her to answer him. "I believe I told you I was coming.."

Tomoe, since her rise to Tsuchikage pushed certain policies; policies that differentiated Iwagakure from the remaining superpowers of the world. They've since become isolationists, not from the entirety of the world, but what are considered four of the five 'Great Villages.' Villages in which Tomoe held no reverence for; Konoha, Kirigakure, Sunagakure, and Kumogakure. There was nothing 'great,' about them. Arbiters of political might, who commonly abused their power to settle disputes on neutral soil. At some point in Iwagakure's history, the aforementioned nations have invaded them for varying reasons, prompting the Tsuchikage of past to enforce similar policies. Yet one preaches peace. Tomoe has since bettered relations with smaller nations, namely Kusagakure, Iwagakure's neighbor. While they have yet to form an official alliance, mutual benefit tame their tension and distrust.
Tomoe prior to this upcoming meeting called off her robust guards, this meeting was to never leave her decorative granite office. She received a letter notifying her of his arrival, and thus she prepared. No, this wasn't a political figure, but a man whose name remains on the front page of every country's respective bingo-book. In his letter he spoke the truth, so she agreed to have a sitting with him. Tomoe carefully read through documents until his arrival, signing this and that. Halting her actions upon hearing three knocks, and slowly turned her attention to her door. "Yes, come in."
Despite a criminal standing before her, she did not act with prejudice, she did not frown upon his arrival, but maintained a neutral expression. "Please, sit." She'd nod towards a chair.

Ika had heard a lot about the new Tsuchikage, and she had pushed a large number of policies since her rise to power. They'd become an isolationist nation, the very idea of a super-power such as Iwa minding their own fucking business as opposed to engaging in imperialistic pillaging was enough to make Ika's heart swoon. Their general lack of reverence towards the other major villages, their history which was formed in large part based on invasions from the major nations, the fact that they had strong relationships with their neighboring countries and the fact that the relationships weren't predatory by nature.. In truth, Iwa was the perfect ally for what Ika intended to do, but he needed to convince them of that.
It was nice to see that she had trusted him from the outset, he didn't want to kill guards but if they had greeted him he wouldn't have had a choice in the matter. She welcomed him in and offered him a seat, he certainly wasn't in any position to decline such friendliness and so he wouldn't. He smiled lightly and bowed his head. "I appreciate your hospitality Lord Tsuchikage.." He leaned back, analyzing her for a moment before continuing. "I believe we may have some philosophical agreements that could lead to a fruitful relationship. What would you say to that?"
